Resignation POLICY NO: 452

It shall be considered unprofessional and a violation of the code of ethics of the Idaho teaching profession for any certificated employee of this school district who has signed a contract or has formally made a statement of intention to renew a contract to resign subsequent to June 1. Resignations can be made without jeopardy, however, when mutually agreed to by the employee and the school district, or when necessitated by circumstances beyond the control of the employee.

Should a certificated employee resign subsequent to June 1 without prior consent of the district, or fail to appear for the next school term, the board of trustees may file a complaint with the Professional Standards Board charging unprofessional conduct.
