NO- taxpayers in Kellogg pay the lowest amount of school taxes in the Silver Valley. The tax rates per thousand dollars of assessed market value in the three school districts for the 2005/2006 school year are: Mullan = $15.86 Wallace = $11.08 and Kellogg = $7.48.
The Wallace levy was $ 1.135 million. Remember that Wallace has only 550 students compared to Kellogg�s 1427.

NO. There are a number of school districts in the state that run supplemental levies to support their current programs. The Wallace School District recently passed a $1.135 M supplemental levy.
Voting will take place at Sunnyside Elementary School, Pinehurst Elementary School, Canyon Elementary School and Smelterville City Hall. The polls will be open from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and non-registered voters may register at any polling place. Voters can vote at any polling place regardless of their place of residence.
A person would need to make written application for an absentee ballot on a form provided by the district clerk. A ballot will then be mailed or delivered in person to the individual requesting to vote absentee. The ballot must be picked up by 5:00 p.m. on May 1st and returned by 5:00 p.m. on May 2nd.
