SUBJECT:       Micron Science and Technology Scholar Program

 

 

 

Micron Technology Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce that up to $253,000 in scholarships will be awarded in the Micron Science and Technology Scholar Program. This program was established to recognize  high school seniors in the states of Idaho, Utah, Texas, Virginia and Colorado who have demonstrated excellence in academics and leadership.

In addition to a scholarship award, Micron Scholars will also have opportunities to participate in award ceremonies, leadership summits, summer internships and a mentoring program.

Criteria for application to this program include the following:

Applicants must-

        Be high school seniors who reside in and attend public or private school in one of the selected states

        Have a combined SAT score of at least 1350 or a composite ACT score of at least 30

        Have an unweighted grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale

        Plan to major in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Mechanical), Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry or Material Sciences at an accredited four-year college or university

        Have demonstrated leadership in school, work and/or extracurricular activities

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a department of Scholarship America.  Scholarship America is a national non-profit educational support and student aid service organization that seeks to involve and assist the private sector in expanding educational opportunities and encouraging educational achievement.
